Year 3 Students in the Design & Manufacturing Engineering Programme visited Fojo 3D Printing Studio to gain first hand insight and knowledge of the different kinds of 3D printing technologies currently available. Mr. David Fojo, Founder & Managing Director, led the tour and gave an overview of the company and the history of 3D printing. The students were able to see a range of 3D printers and scanners used to produce models using various materials ranging from plastics, nylon, ceramic, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polylactic acid (PLA), wood filament to metals. Fojo 3D Printing is an advocate for the use of 3D printers to make models for inventors and innovators who are looking to launch their own companies as this technology is being used elsewhere in the world for a similar purpose.
