UTT Patriots Men's Football Coach and former 'Strike Squad' captain, Clayton 'JB' Morris, has taken on the role of Head Coach of the Deaf Sports Trinidad and Tobago (DSTT) Futsal team. The team is currently in preparation for the 2nd Pan American Deaf Futsal Championships to be held in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil from September 18-24, 2022.

Clayton, who is known to have extensive knowledge in the fast-paced modification of the football-based game, often uses futsal as part of his outreach initiatives, in which he identifies individuals or groups, such as DSTT, who seek the assistance and resources to learn more about the rules and strategies of the game.

In the past, Clayton has utilised the sport as a developmental tool for dealing with socio-economic factors which affect social standings of different classes and groups. He believes that the incorporation of futsal at the grassroots level and in our local football national developmental structure, can not only benefit the overall well-being of the athlete, but also facilitate the growth and advancement of elite potential football athletes across Trinidad and Tobago.
