Former UTT Patriots High Performance Volleyball student-athlete and National Youth and Senior Women Volleyball Coach, Courtnee-Mae Clifford, recently attended the 2021 European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) Coaches Convention held in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. The Convention brought together 164 coaches and physical education teachers from over 60 countries.

After the historic and highly successful launch of the Convention in June 2019, the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the 2020 edition.

In this year's edition, registration was open to all other Volleyball Continental Confederations, one of which was the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA), of which Trinidad & Tobago is a member.

Through theoretical and practical activities, the attendees were provided with tools that will aid in the development of volleyball at the grassroots level.

Clifford is a young and upcoming coach, whose aim is to make a significant impression on the local, regional and international volleyball landscape.
