Ms. Terisa Reid, a 2017 graduate of UTT's Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Coast and Ocean Sciences will deliver an oral presentation at the 71st Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute (GCFI) Conference, in San Andres, Colombia from November 5-9, 2018. This year's Conference will address issues of connectivity, fisheries management and conservation within the Caribbean Region.

Terisa will present at the 71st Annual GCFI Socio-economic and Governance Session. Her presentation titled, A Preliminary Socio-economic Profile on Fishermen in Trinidad examined the socio-economic profile of fishermen and the issues that they face, in an effort to efficiently plan and develop the fishing industry in Trinidad. The research also evaluated several factors and their impact on fishermen's livelihood.
