JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness provides strategic leadership and oversight for the University's quality assurance, accreditation, institutional research, and performance management functions.
The AVP ensures the integration of quality systems, data analytics, and institutional effectiveness frameworks to support regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making, while advancing the University's strategic priorities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides strategic leadership for the University's Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness functions.

Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the University's Quality Management System and related frameworks.

Ensures institutional compliance with national and international accreditation and regulatory requirements, including oversight of accreditation and quality review processes.

Oversees budget planning and resource management for the QA&IE Unit.

Directs the University's institutional research and analytics functions to support evidence-based planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making.

Oversees the development and implementation of institutional effectiveness and performance management systems aligned with strategic priorities.

Advises the President and senior leadership on matters related to quality assurance, accreditation, institutional performance, governance, policy interpretation, and risk.

Promotes a culture of quality, accountability, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement across the University.

Represents the University in engagements with accreditation bodies, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.

Provides organisational leadership and management of the QA&IE Unit, including supervision of staff and coordination of activities.

Leads or supports strategic initiatives and performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Postgraduate degree in Higher Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field. A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in these areas may be an asset.

Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience, including significant experience at a senior management level.
