The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) has established partnerships with various institutions in Canada. These partnerships allow students, staff and faculty the opportunity to pursue funded study, research abroad or exploratory visits under the Government of Canada's Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) initiatives.

Over sixteen (16) UTT staff, faculty and student community members have benefitted thus far from all of the three following categories:

1. The Emerging Leaders in the Americas Programme which provides funding to undergraduate and postgraduate students to complete a semester abroad at a Canadian institution;
2. The Canada-CARICOM Leadership Scholarships Programme which provides students and researchers from CARICOM with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research;
3. The Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Programme which provides faculty, managers or international liaison officers from CARICOM with short-term exchange opportunities for professional development or research.

For the current 2017 period, thirteen (13) applications for funded visits were submitted by UTT. The applicants  will receive confirmation of funding from  the Canadian Bureau for International Education by September, 2017.

You can now listen to past awardees as they talk about their exciting journey to personal and professional development!

We look forward to receiving applications for the next coming period. For more information on this opportunity, please contact us at internationaloffice@utt.edu.tt.
