Dr. Daniel White MIMMM is the holder of a B.Sc. degree (First class Honors) in Physics, and a PhD in Physics (Specializing in Materials Science) both from the University of the West Indies. He has over 25 years of experience teaching at tertiary institutions. As of August 2026, Dr. White has been attached to the University of Trinidad and Tobago for 21 years. Additionally, he has supervised student projects and theses from undergraduate to PhD.

His research interest are many and varied, including work in asphalt, clay, dental materials, concrete, industrial waste recycling, and renewable energy. Currently, Dr. White is assigned to the Unit of project Management and Civil Infrastructure Systems as the resident construction materials specialist.
