Background & Experience
Denver Cheddie received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Florida International University in 2006. Previously he earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Philosophy degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies. His research has included modeling of PEM fuel cells, dynamic system simulation of solid oxide fuel cells, modeling of VAPEX processes for heavy oil recovery, and reverse osmosis processes for desalination. So far he has authored over 20 scholarly papers. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Power Sources and the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
Dr. Cheddie presently works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. His area of expertise include modeling and simulation of engineering systems and processes, and is interested in developing and stimulating research in fuel cells and renewable technologies locally.
