Violinist David Webber, a graduate of UTT’s music programme recently won a coveted place on UNESCO Trans Cultura programme - a cultural initiative between UNESCO, the European Union and Cuba.

He was one of only a handful of young musicians from the Caribbean invited, all expenses paid, to Academia Musicale Chigiana, Italy for masterclasses with Tabea Zimmerman - one of the world’s greatest musicians.

This was followed in April 2025 by an invitation to Cuba to be part of the TransCultura Ensemble - including a performance with World-famous Cuban pianist, Roberto Fonseca.
