JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
To assist with the planning and preparation of equipment, as well as related teaching and learning aids as assigned by the Programme Leader or designate.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets up equipment and other required materials for practical exercises.

Instructs and demonstrates workshop/laboratory exercises.

Prepares workshop/laboratory specimens.

Performs minor maintenance on instructional equipment (including renewable energy equipment).

Sources equipment and related materials (chemicals, solutions, etc.) from various suppliers.

Maintains inventory of all equipment and related materials in area of responsibility.

Provides feedback, coaching, guidance and support to students regarding workshop/laboratory exercises.

Provides reports and feedback to the Instructor/Professor.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Advanced Technical Diploma / Associate Degree or equivalent.

A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in electrical and mechanical engineering.
COMPETENCIES
-
Sound knowledge in the area of instruction being demonstrated.
-
Sound knowledge in Electromechanical Engineering for maintaining and servicing electromechanical devices and systems.
-
Sound knowledge of relevant software, hardware and laboratory equipment to be used in exercises.

Ability to instruct.

Ability to work effectively in teams.

Sound oral and written communication skills.

Computer literate.
