UTT Patriots Athletics student-athlete, Tyla Austin
UTT Patriots Athletics student-athlete, Tyla Austin, captured first place in the Men's 800M Run at the 2022 Falcon Games, with a Personal Best (PB) time of 2:00.41.
Entering the bell lap, trailing in the fourth position, Austin surged to beat the pre-race favourite, Donnell Francis, within the last 50 metres of the race. Austin also placed second in the Men's 1500M Run capturing a new PB time of 4:21.81, showing a significant 16-second improvement relative to his previous record.
UTT Patriots, Matthew Graham and Nathan Farinha captured second and third place, respectively, in the 100M Dash event. Graham, recorded a new PB of 10.97 seconds, shaving 0.05 seconds off his past time.

In the field events, Kenan Alexander, secured second place with a throw of 30.33 metres in the Men's Discus Throw (2kg).
Other notable performances included Personal and Season bests by UTT Patriots for the following:
• Rogill Torres (49.98) and Aaron Cardinez (51.93) in the Men's 400M Dash
• Trevon Scott (23.11), Torres (22.79) and Graham (22.22) in the Men's 200M Dash
• Jordan Ross in the Men's 800M Run (2:14.38) and 1500M Run (4:31.31).
The Games ran from April 9th -10th, 2022 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Tobago.
