JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

To assist in general upkeep of all BAFT fields and farm facilities, including nursery management and maintenance of small field equipment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes but not limited to:

• Supports the conduct of all activities associated with production and harvesting.
• Assists with operating and maintaining small field equipment/instruments.
• Assists with milking of cows.
• Assists with planting, cultivating and irrigating crops.
• Feeds livestock and poultry.
• Operates farm machinery.
• Assists with livestock during calving season, where necessary.
• Ensures environment is safe for animals and assists with detection of any diseases or health problems with livestock and poultry.
• Safeguards crop health.
• Maintains the farm facilities, infrastructure and machinery, including cleaning of pens.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Agriculture
• Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience
