
Description
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees are awarded on the basis of a Dissertation based on original research, together with successful completion of a minimum of four (4) mandatory research courses and four (4) seminars. The written Dissertation report must provide documentation of a significant original contribution to the body of knowledge in the area of study and an oral defence of the Dissertation.
Taught courses are offered online. Meetings relating to supervisor directed courses are held using communication applications such as Zoom or MS Teams. Special arrangements may be made for laboratory and personal interaction, should the need arise, in keeping with existing health protocols.

Entry Requirements:

Persons holding a Research Master’s degree from an approved university.

Persons holding a suitable Taught Master’s Degree from an approved university with a “B” average or equivalent GPA with relevant research components.
