Edward Bahaw is an Assistant Professor at The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) who has previously worked as an economist in various capacities in different industries. He has a passion for teaching economics, especially to students pursuing non-business-related fields of study in various programmes throughout the University. He is also a published author, having written text books for ordinary and advanced levels in economics for Caribbean students. His completed doctoral work applied both macroeconomic and microeconomic statistical analysis of the impact of the energy sector on the economy of Trinidad and Tobago, to formulate guidelines for government policies aimed at achieving sustained economic growth and improved economic well-being for both current and future generations. Currently, he is pursuing post-doctoral research in applied Natural Resource, Environmental and Renewable Energy Economics.
