Ms. Marsha Persad-Samsundar is the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).
As the CPO, Marsha is responsible for oversight of the UTT procurement process, at an operational and strategic level, which includes tendering and disposals.
She is the Named Procurement Officer (NPO) for the University and is directly responsible for ensuring the University’s compliance and adherence to the requirements of the Procurement Act.
Marsha has over twenty-two years of experience in the area of Planning and Supply Chain Management, holding a Bachelor of Sciences (BSc) degree in Chemistry and Management (Double Major) from the University of the West Indies (UWI), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Heriot Watt University, England and is currently pursuing the CIPS Programme, Level 5.
With extensive experience in the areas of manufacturing, oil & gas and the public sector Marsha brings a dynamic perspective to encourage innovation, improve efficiency and successfully implement best practice. Passionate about Procurement, Marsha’s goal is to build capacity and empower procurement peers, whilst attaining tangible value for the organisation
