Stacey Cateau is a former national rugby player, who for the past sixteen years has been actively involved in Sport Management in Trinidad and Tobago; as a Physical Educator, Project Manager and University teacher. These experiences have helped to shape his philosophy on Sport, and inspired his desire to contribute to Trinidad and Tobago’s sport development through education and research.
For the past eight years he has been involved with the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee both as an employee and as a volunteer. This has afforded him a unique outlook at sport development in both the local and international contexts.
His academic background includes Masters Degrees in both Sport Science and Sport Organisation Management. This has enabled him to acquire an understanding of both areas and the role they play in the development of a functioning sport delivery system.
His main areas of interest are Sport Policy, Sport Project Management, and Planning and Capacity Building in Sport Organisations.
