Gina completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Service from the St. Andrews University, Michigan. She then pursued a Masters in Kinesiology at the University of Texas of Permian Basin. Gina also possesses a Diploma in Education from the University of the West Indies School of Education and is a Certified Health Coach from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute in Colorado.

She has extensive teaching experience at both the secondary and tertiary levels. She has worked in the capacity of a Physical Education Teacher, Dean and Administrator. She has also lectured at the University of the West Indies Open Campus in Philosophy and Principles of Physical Education, Motor Learning and Skilled Performance and Methods and Materials in Physical Education. Gina has been an Exam Leader and involved in Curriculum Writing with the Ministry of Education.

The 'all girls' school Gina attended during her formative years of schooling professed a strong educational and ethical philosophy which remained with her throughout her life. It is this foundation along with her quiet strength which has directed her course of study to Education. She has a passion and desire for the development of young people.

Gina’s interest strongly lies in the area of Health, Nutrition and Wellness, as she feels the need to educate people on healthier ways to achieve holistic well-being. Her main focus, through education is to encourage persons to make empowered choices with respect to their health and lifestyle. This is an area she feels is sadly ignored as reflected in the growing obesity in our country.

Gina’s quest for academic excellence continues as she plans to engage in research and pursue a Doctorate in the near future.
