Originally from Japan, Katsunari Imai, known simply as "Kats", completed his education at Temple University, USA. From there he built his career in the music industry over ten (10 )years in New York City, where functioned as a record producer of Electronic Club Music and Club Remixes for the major record labels (Billboard Club Chart #2, #4 in 1996), as a touring international Club DJ (U.S., Canada, South America, Europe and Asia) and as an A&R (Artist & Repertoire) scout to develop new artists for Dance Music labels.
 
His passion for searching for the higher form of arts and music linked him with "Panorama", the world biggest steel pan competition. Inspired by the rhythm and music of Trinidad and Tobago, 'Kats' migrated from New York City in 2009. 'Kats' has dedicated his past eight (8) years to establish the advanced audio recording production of steel pan music in Trinidad and Tobago.
 
Not being limited as a recording engineer, DJ or record producer, he has also expanded his career into the area of Live Sound Engineer, a practicum instructor of UTT and an event producer of the alternative youth culture of Trinidad & Tobago.
 
The unlimited talents of Trinidad and Tobago keep him driven to search and develop the next big international stars.
