Two Masters Programmes are being proposed for the 2008 Academic Year:
|
| The Masters Programme targets both full-time and part-time students who are interested in developing a career in Sports Management or in Sport for Development. |
The International Masters in Sport for Development offers students diverse educational experiences that will prepare them for career opportunities at the local, regional and international levels in the emerging field of 'Development through Sport'. |
The programme includes developing a background in areas such as leadership, management, human and social development, advanced research methodologies and international policy. Students of the programme will develop skills, knowledge and experiences to enable them to successfully pursue leadership positions in local, regional and international development agencies; government departments, as well as non-government organisations involved in the sport and social sectors. |
Students seeking to pursue the Masters Programme must have completed a relevant Bachelors Degree at a recognised university. |
Executive Masters in Sport Management offers students a range of management and leadership courses that include sport law, sport marketing, human resource management and sports facilities management. Students pursuing the Masters in Sport Management would be well poised to take on management and leadership roles in a range of private, government and international organisations linked to the billion dollar global sports industry. |
Students pursuing the Masters programme must complete 36 credits, including a six credit thesis.
