He is also currently performing the duties of Programme Leader for CICT.

Since joining UTT in 2006 as an Assistant Professor, Professor Wu has consistently contributed to UTT in teaching, research and administrative roles. His academic experience and expertise will be further developed in this new capacity.

Professor Wu received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Montreal and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from McGill University, Canada. He previously worked as an investment banking manager in Hong Kong and was a research fellow at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Canada and a visiting research fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of cybersecurity, hacking, digital currencies and 5G networks.

Professor Wu spearheaded the implementation of UTT’s Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Cybersecurity in January 2019. The programme offers two tracks, one focusing on hacking and digital forensics, and the other on cybersecurity management, policy and governance.

The University extends congratulations and all professional courtesies to Professor Wu as he executes his duties in the Centre for Information and Communication Technology
