This year's Presentation of Graduation Ceremonies saw a change in the proceedings, mainly the order of the presentation of graduands to Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes, O.R.T.T. President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Chancellor of The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).
This ceremonial change, in no way, diminished the significance and grandeur, which is customary of the University’s Graduation Ceremonies. This change, was in part, attributed to the exigencies of the Office of the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It was therefore agreed that while the Chairman, Professor Kenneth S. Julien (Emeritus) T.C. admits the undergraduate graduands to the University fraternity, Professor Clement Imbert (Emeritus), Deputy Chairman, Board of Governors, UTT receives the graduands, and offers words of congratulations.
Despite the change in the order of the proceedings, members of the University Community look forward with anticipation to recognise and more so acknowledge the significant achievements of all our graduates.
Graduation is indeed a special time in our students’ academic journey, and on this day, we place you at the centre to celebrate your successes, which we are proud to have been a part of.
UTT congratulates the Graduating Class of 2019 and wish you all the best!
