Profile of a UTT Student: Summer Radgman - Williams

Summer Radgman - Williams is passionate about education and its delivery. Having worked in the education environment for much of her professional career, Summer was one of twenty (20) students who received scholarships from the Ministry of Public Administration to study the Bachelor of Education programme at UTT in Tobago.

This married mother of one from Bacolet Gardens, credits her husband, Dopson Williams, for his support and patience in parenting their infant daughter while she pursues her studies. Summer is no stranger to academic brilliance, having acquired ten (10) CXC passes; the first of which she received after successfully attempting the examination as a form three (3) student.  She can further count on familial support as her sister, Xiomara, is also a year two (2) student at UTT pursuing her Bachelor of Education degree in Tobago.

When asked to describe her experience as  part of the first cohort of UTT students in Tobago, Summer responded, "What UTT has done for students in Tobago is to open the gateway for the preservation of the family unit as students no longer have to leave their families and sacrifice their loved-ones to pursue their academic passion."
