On Tuesday 20 February 2018 the UTT APA String Studio kicked off the studio recital series in Theatre 1, performing a range of solo and ensemble works - ranging from the Baroque to the Late Romantic period - to a supportive and enthusiastic audience.
The concert featured the students of string faculty members Simon Browne, Michael Chapman, Caitlyn Kamminga and Eleanor Ryan.
The studio recital was also a chance to publicly congratulate APA student Mawasi Warner (double bass) on his achievement of being accepted into the competitive Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra's Education Programme in May 2018. This amazing opportunity will see Mawasi play in an orchestra alongside other international musicians, coming together to perform Brahms' Symphony 1 under the baton of conductor Sir Simon Rattle. Well done, Mawasi!
