The University of Trinidad and Tobago Alumni Association held its First Annual General Meeting and Council Elections on Monday 26th February, 2018 at the UTT Chaguanas Campus. A total of twenty five (25) candidates vied for various positions. The results are as follows:

The new Council is tasked with the responsibility to encourage alumni to actively participate in the UTT community, to create new ways for alumni to develop their entrepreneurial and personal skills, and contribute to the development of our University. The vision is to involve the greatest possible number of alumni and alumnae with UTT on an annual basis by creating a range of programmes and services so appealing that alumni will seek to remain engaged with the University and each other.
Consistent with the core values of community, education and service, the UTTA’s programmes and services will provide the University community with meaningful opportunities to:

• Continue the process of life-long learning;
• Foster diversity and community, strengthening ties to UTT and growing relationships with other alumni;
• Receive valuable services to enhance lives and careers; and
• Serve the University, other alumni, students and the community at large.
