The Process Engineering Department supports the Professional Education Unit (PEU) of UTT in its customized training programs. We act firstly in an advisory capacity to the PEU in developing the programs and secondly in sourcing the relevant training material.  Finally, our academic staff does the on-going assessments of the trainees by means of assignments, quizzes and final examinations.

The members of staff used in the customized courses have a broad range of industrial experiences over many years in Oil Refining, Petrochemical Processing, Gas Plant Operations and other manufacturing industries.

The feedback from our clients about the training programs has been very positive. In addition to technical skills, other areas emphasized throughout the programs are good health, safety and environmental practices, good work ethic, productivity and efficiency, discipline, communication and teaming.

The Department has delivered customized training for Process Operators from Atlantic, BP Trinidad and Tobago Limited, the Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited and personnel from Equatorial Guinea.
