Research Programmes

The Design and Manufacturing Engineering faculty conduct research relevant to the local context in the areas of Automation, Product Design and Development, and Materials and Manufacturing Processes. In addition, commercialization studies are done to support the local entrepreneurial thrust. The prototyping and production labs house state of the art facilities that enable the design and prototyping of new products using both subtractive and additive (3D printing) manufacturing technologies. The Department of Design and Manufacturing Engineering offers Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees.

Standalone Courses

Students may also pursue courses from within any of the programmes which are being offered. A transcript will be provided with the results of each course. The achievement of 45 credits will lead to the award of either an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Certificate.
