Indar Kanhai grew up in a family of accomplished musicians which included his father (a well-known soloist, popular for his Kishore Kumar renditions). Kanhai has often been described as the Caribbean’s best Indian male vocalist, and some fans have even dubbed him “the local Kumar Sanu.”

Mr Kanhai has toured the United States of America, the Netherlands and the Caribbean, accompanying international performers such as Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Mehdi Hassan and Pankaj Udhas.

As leader and musical arranger of his own band, The Trishul Orchestra, he has received many awards and accolades, both locally and internationally, for his musical accomplishments.

Kanhai also produces local events including Valentine’s and Mother's Day concerts, as well international events.
