Seion Gomez, born on June 14th, 1974, is a citizen of the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He started playing the steel pan at the early age of nine (9), following in the footsteps of his father.

After leaving secondary school, Seion did a two (2) year certificate in music, with a concentration in steel pan, at The University of the West Indies, before leaving for Northern Illinois University where he graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in music and in 2007 with a Master's degree in music.
Seion has travelled to many countries as a performer, teacher and lecturer and has also served as an adjudicator for numerous steel pan competitions, both here in Trinidad and Tobago and abroad.

Presently, Seion works with the NLCB Buccooneers Steel Orchestra of Tobago for the Panorama seasons and several other steel bands throughout the year. From the year 2008 to present, Seion has been a member of The University of Trinidad and Tobago's (UTT) faculty and now leads a team of steel pan instructors, who are dedicated to raising the level of musicianship within the steel pan fraternity of Trinidad and Tobago.
