CARIBBEAN STYLE & CULTURE Awards and Fashion Showcase is a dynamic show filled with fashion, music, art and culture and held annually in the month of June to commemorate CARIBBEAN-AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH.

The Caribbean Style & Culture Awards and Fashion Showcase has, over the last nine (9) years, celebrated and rewarded the excellence and remarkable contributions of designers and models that have significantly influenced the Caribbean region's rich culture and the burgeoning Fashion Industry.

The Caribbean Style & Culture Awards and Fashion showcase is the brainchild of Karib Nation, Inc.a non-profit organisation established in 1992 and based in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia metro area. The organisation promotes social and economic prosperity while encouraging the cultural enrichment of the English, French, Spanish and Dutch-speaking Caribbean community in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

The tenth anniversary of the Caribbean Style & Culture Awards and Fashion Showcase  in June 2019, features three (3) designers from The University of Trinidad and Tobago's Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design (CAFD).  

Daniel Clarkeis the 2018 CAFD Student of the Year awardee. Cournelius Hector is a 2017 graduate of CAFD and works with Marlon George as the Creative Director for D.A.W.W Creations. Marlon Georgea former CAFD student, is the founder and owner of D.A.W.W Creations, which has been featured in New York Fashion Week and other shows in North America and the Caribbean.

In addition to his wedding portfolio, D.A.W.W Creations have been outfitting many of T&T's artistes such as Machel Montano, Nishard,Voice (Aaron St. Louis) and many others.

The CAFD family congratulates all its designers for their contribution to the fashion industry locally, regionally and internationally.
