ANISA MOSES - UTT student, B.A.Sc.
in Petroleum Engineering

ANISA MOSES is ready to take on the challenges of the global energy sector and has her eyes set on becoming a Well Completions Engineer.
From an early age, Anisa was taught that on the journey to success, no two paths are the same and she is always reminding herself of this nugget of wisdom.

Hailing from the Borough of Point Fortin which is the locale of Trinidad and Tobago's oil industry, Anisa, with a passion for helping those around her, dreamed of becoming a medical doctor. However, her adverse reaction to the sight of blood compelled her to explore other career options.

After successfully completing the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Examinations, Anisa took a year off, during which time she worked. This proved to be very beneficial as she gained many valuable experiences which taught her discipline, sacrifice and self-motivation.

Having opted for an engineering career path, Anisa enrolled in UTT's National Engineering Technician Diploma (NETD) in Petroleum Engineering and graduated at the top of her class. This provided further motivation to pursue the Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Petroleum Engineering. Anisa credits UTT with enhancing her ability to think decisively and analytically.

Fuelled by her passion for learning and an inclination towards being a team player, Anisa joined UTT's Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), eventually ascending to the position of Student Chapter Vice President. Anisa also represented UTT at the South America and Caribbean Regional Qualifier for the PetroBowl Competition at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad in June 2018.

Anisa's dedication to helping those around her has not wavered over the years, as she asserts that "the world is driven by energy and I am committed to using my skills and knowledge in Petroleum Engineering to meaningfully contribute to the development of society."

Having graduated at the top of her NETD class in 2016, Anisa seeks to match that accomplishment at this year's graduation ceremony in November.

Anisa is poised for the next phase of her journey; equipped with confidence and self-assurance, she is well prepared to make her dreams a reality.
