CADETS STEPHANIE RAMPERSAD and SABEENA POONWASIE, both graduates of The University of Trinidad and Tobago’s (UTT) Diploma in Maritime Operations - Navigation, recently completed their required one year of sea time onboard the WINE ISLAND vessel.

UTT, in collaboration with BPTT, has an ongoing Cadet Training Programme, in which Cadets train onboard BPTT chartered vessels in a three month rotation over the course of a year to obtain their license to become Bridge Officers.

Captain Brit Ezell of the WINE ISLAND gave sterling commendations of the duo, who he described as great assets to the staff and crew of the WINE ISLAND vessel.
