UTT Patriots High-Performance Cricket team took home several pieces of silverware at the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) East Zone Cricket Council's award ceremony in recognition of their outstanding performances during the East Zone Cricket league.

The annual award ceremony, celebrates the conclusion of the league and highlights the top achievements of participating teams and players across all divisions all through the year. This year's edition was held on October 14, 2023.

Throughout the season, UTT was able to record several century and five-wicket haul performances amongst student-athletes Stepphan McPherson, Jedidiah John, Ronaldo Villafana (Captain) and Kion Paul in the Senior Division, and Sadikie Williams, Antonio Halls (Captain) and Aiden Lakhansingh in the Reserve Division.

McPherson was awarded for recording 107 runs and bowling 5-38 (11) versus Agents Sports Club while Williams was recognised for registering 116 runs versus UWI Cricket Club and bowling 5-42 (10) versus Agents Sports Club.

As for Halls, the right-handed batsman racked up 134 runs versus Curepe Sports Club whereas Paul scored a century of 116 runs versus the East Zone U-18 team.

In the same matchup against the East Zone contingent, John bowled his way to a five-wicket haul with 5-20 (10).

Villafana and Lakhansingh were credited for their 5-36 (12) and 6-49 (16) bowling performances versus Dinsley Cricket Club and Fulham Sports Club, respectively.
