Morgan Selected for First Senior Women’s Netball National Team

UTT Patriots Netball student-athlete, Shaniya Morgan, has been selected to be part of Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Women's National Netball team.

The national contingent is currently competing in the Netball World Cup Regional Qualifier in Kingston, Jamaica that jumped off on October 16th, 2022.

At just nineteen years old, Morgan is set to debut at the senior level as part of the team's bolstering defensive line-up.

She recently represented Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) at the Under-23 level at the first edition of the Caribbean Games which was held in Guadeloupe earlier this year.

Past UTT Patriots Netball players, Jameela McCarthy, Oprah Douglas, Shaquanda Greene-Noel (Captain), Faith Hagley, Joelisa Cooper, Shantel Seemungal, Ashelle Legall (Team Manager) and Kemba Duncan (Head Coach) are also a part of the national contingent.

T&T will be seeking to clinch a spot for the Netball World Cup 2023 which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from July 28th to August 6th, 2023.
