Mr. Bisram Ramdatt began working at The University of Trinidad and Tobago in September 2006. As an Instructor I, Mr. Ramdatt taught Chemistry and Applied Petroleum Chemistry for the National Engineering Technician's Diploma in Petroleum Engineering.

From 2009 onwards, Mr Ramdatt began teaching Petroleum specific courses such as Basic Reservoir Engineering, Natural Gas Engineering, Surface and Sub-surface Production and Well Completion. He has taught and continues to teach these petroleum specific courses and chemistry related courses in the NETD Petroleum Engineering.

Mr. Ramdatt has a double major in Chemistry and Biochemistry, graduating with First Class Honours from The University of the West Indies (UWI) in 2005. His achievement was recognised on the Dean's list of Excellence in 2005. Two years later he pursued studies at the UWI in Petroleum Engineering. He graduated in 2008 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering.

After a four year hiatus, Mr. Ramdatt enrolled at the University of London to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Law in 2012. He achieved excellence in 2014 when he attained the highest grade in Elements of Contract Law out of more than eighteen thousand students who wrote the exam that academic year. This trend in excellence continued to 2015 when he completed the Bachelor’s degree in Law with Upper Seconds Honours. 

Mr. Ramdatt is now an Instructor II and continues to lecture in the NETD programme.  His research interests are divided between Natural Gas Hydrates and Produced Water.
