Ian T. Alleyne lectures on business and entrepreneurship at The University of Trinidad and Tobago. Prior to joining the University, he worked in the banking and financial sector at two (2) leading financial institutions. His tenure at these institutions comprised nine (9) years in information technology and the remainder in finance. 

 

He has written several articles that appeared in the electronic newsletter,www.caribbean360.com, and the Business Guardian. Subjects covered in the articles included the analysis of the local mobile market, electronic payment systems and the motivation of non-profit entities. He also was a regular contributor to the magazine, Entrepreneurspirit; with his writings focused on starting a business.

 

In 2013, he started a payment service company that facilitates e-commerce payments in Trinidad and Tobago. His experience starting the business provides rich local entrepreneurial knowledge to students in his business and entrepreneurial classes.
