On 17th March, the Academy for the Performing Arts' (APA) Jazz Combo, under the leadership of Assistant Professor of Music (Trombone) Aidan Chamberlain, visited the Mount Hope Secondary School to perform pieces in a variety of styles, as part of the school's Cultural Extravaganza, "Celebrating the Melting Pot."

It was a multi-cultural event with representatives from the embassies of Cuba, Guyana, Mexico, Colombia, and German embassies.

Cultural Liaison, Dr Sacha John-Charles-Baynes said that the ensemble brought "class" to the proceedings and expressed enthusiasm for the performance and looked forward to the upcoming APA Open Day and future performances.
