Dr Allison Francis is a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEAL) Specialist with over fifteen years of experience supporting development initiatives across Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, a Master of Business Administration in Information Management, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Administration from The University of Trinidad and Tobago.
Her doctoral research which is published in the peer-reviewed journal, Disabilities, focused on the employment barriers for persons with disabilities in Trinidad and Tobago, providing a comprehensive, mixed-method analysis of the barriers they face in accessing meaningful work. Her study highlighted critical challenges such as limited workplace accommodations, gaps in legislation, and employer perceptions, while offering practical, policy-relevant recommendations to advance inclusive employment.
Throughout her career, Dr Francis has worked with government agencies, international organisations, and civil society partners, applying her expertise in monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, and inclusive development. Her work is driven by a commitment to improving opportunities for marginalised populations and advancing evidence-based policy and practice at national, regional and international levels.
