Ms. Karen Boodoo graduated from The University of the West Indies with a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Management and a M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering (Distinction) at UTT, in collaboration with the University of Texas at Austin.

Ms. Boodoo has twelve years of teaching and research experience at UTT. She currently teaches courses at the diploma and bachelor's levels in the Petroleum Engineering programmes, such as Reservoir Engineering, Natural Gas Engineering, Well Completion, Well Logging, Geoscience for the Petroleum Technician, Subsurface Oil and Gas Production and Fluid Flow in Porous Media; and has supervised final year diploma, B.A.Sc. and M.Eng. projects. Ms. Boodoo has also served as Programme Coordinator at the diploma level for a period of five years.

Her key research interests are in Enhanced Oil Recovery, Reservoir Characterization and Produced Water, which will help her to successfully attain her Ph.D.
