Nicole Ramcharan holds both a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). With a solid foundation in petroleum engineering, supported by a diploma from UTT and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, she has six (6) years of oilfield industry experience, working with prominent companies, including BPTT, Baker Hughes and Schlumberger, in drilling engineering and directional well planning.

In 2015, she transitioned into academia, becoming an Instructor in the Energy Systems Engineering Unit at UTT. She delivers a wide range of undergraduate courses at UTT, supervises student projects, and actively participates in University outreach initiatives.

As a former Discipline Leader, she has demonstrated effective academic leadership, guiding the National Engineering Technician Diploma (NETD) programme in Petroleum Engineering. Nicole is committed to fostering a rich learning environment for her students, evidenced by her consistent record of effective teaching and involvement in university service activities. She is presently pursuing a Master of Science in Energy Engineering with specialisation in Renewable Energy at UTT.
