Dr. Daniel White MIMMM is the holder of a B.Sc. degree (First class Honors) in Physics, and a PhD in Physics (Specializing in Materials Science) both from the University of the West Indies. He has over twenty three (24) years of experience teaching at tertiary institutions. As of 2025, Dr. White has been attached to the University of Trinidad and Tobago for 20 years. Additionally, he has supervised student projects and theses from undergraduate to PhD.

His research interest are many and varied, including work in asphalt, clay, dental materials, concrete, industrial waste recycling, and renewable energy. Currently, Dr. White is assigned to the Unit of project Management and Civil Infrastructure Systems as the resident construction materials specialist.
