Mr Daniel Narinesingh is an Instructor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago assigned to the Biosciences, Agriculture and Food Technology Unit. His main focus is in Crop Science.

Agriculture is not only in his DNA but also very much in his heart and that kept him driven throughout his career as an Agronomist, to pioneer research and develop technologies that would enhance agricultural production and efficiency in the country.

The work he is widely known for focusses on the utilization of novel technologies applied to a range of tropical root crops, including Sweet Potatoes and Cassava.

In the current era of growing international uncertainty surrounding food security, particularly as the effects of climate change becomes more apparent, Mr. Narinesingh's emphasis on sustainable agriculture is extremely pertinent to Caribbean economies.

His personal background makes him passionate about developing the agricultural industry to become more attractive and sustainable.
