Phillips Records Career and Season High 40 Points Versus Lions

On May 16, 2025, UTT Patriots Basketball student-athlete, Mikhail Phillips, recorded a career and season high of forty (40) points as a UTT Patriot. Phillips also recorded seven (7) rebounds, six (6) assists, and three (3) steals in the University's 74-46 win over the New Age Lions.

The former Under-23 national 3X3 basketball athlete is currently averaging 20.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game over the last eleven (11) games of the 2024-2025 season.

He has been named the Player of the Game in 7 of the 11 games and also recorded career and season highs in rebounds (18) in game seven versus the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF), and assists (9) and steals (3) in game nine versus Basic Basketball Academy.

Phillips also leads the team in double-double performances this season. His first double-double came in UTT's victory over New Chapter Academy with 20 points and 11 rebounds on February 20, 2025. On March 29, 2025, Phillips recorded 22 points and 11 rebounds versus the Maloney Pacers and 21 points and 18 rebounds versus TTDF on April 25, 2025.
