UTT Patriots Table Tennis student-athlete, Javier King was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match in the Patriots' triumph over D’abadie Youths and Hillview Renegades in the Trinidad and Tobago Table Tennis Association's (TTTTA) Premier League.

On April 9, 2024, the Patriots took on the D’abadie Youths at the D’Abadie Community Centre in round six of the competition.

Guest player, Andrew Edwards served off for the Patriots defeating D’Abadie’s Everton Sorzano 11-8, 11-9, and 11-9 in sets two, four and five, respectively. The night's third match saw UTT’s Samuel Humphreys perform a clean sweep versus Shaquille Mitchell to lead the Patriots 2-1.

In the end, King got the best of Sorzano in three straight sets 11-3, 11-6, and 11-9, giving UTT a 3-1 victory, overall.

On April 11, 2024, the UTT squad headed to the WASA Sport and Cultural Club, St. Joseph to battle the Hillview Renegades, which accommodated multiple-time Caribbean table tennis champion, Trevor Farley, from Barbados.

In this encounter, King was the first to serve for the Patriots, defeating Renegades’ Franklyn Seechan 12-10, 11-8 and 11-9.

With their opponent in the driver's seat with a 2-1 lead after the third match, King had to pull out all the stops to keep UTT’s hopes alive. Going down to the wire, King pulled off the upset versus Farley (3-2) to even the match series at 2-2.

In the final match-up, Edwards went 3-0 versus Seechan in the series decider to give UTT its fourth win in the league.
