Professor Yufei Wu is the director of Caribbean Cybersecurity Institute at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Montreal and an MBA from McGill University. He worked as an investment banking manager in Hong Kong for 5 years. He also worked as research fellow at the University of Montreal and as visiting professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University as well as research fellow at Ericsson Corporation. His research focuses on fintech with blockchain, artifical intelligence / machine learning in hacking and digital forensics, as well as data security and privacy.  He has taught a variety of courses, AI/ML in cybersecurity, advanced network and web security, hacking and penetration testing, cyber security management, digital forensics, as well as data security and privacy. Prof Wu has served on a few dozens of local and regional goverment and industry committees.

Prof Wu has spearheaded the establishment of Caribbean Cybersecurity Institute, which is the first of its kind in the Caribbean. It promotes cybersecurity research, training, education, outreach, and business spinoffs. Over the years, he has developed many popular courses and programs from hacking, digital forensics, AI/ML in cybersecurity to 5G. Due to his efforts, Caribbean Cybersecurity Institute has become a stronghold for research in cybersecurity and digital forensics and offers the most extensive teaching portfolios of cybersecurity in the Caribbean.
