On Friday 23 May, 2025, UTT Patriots Basketball student-athlete and team captain Nickolai Mills, reached a significant career milestone, recording a total of 156 assists as a UTT Patriot. This achievement followed a double-double performance against Royalty at the Maloney Indoor Sport Arena, where Mills also recorded a career and season high of eleven (11) assists, along with fifteen (15) points, seven (7) rebounds and two (2) steals, while shooting 43 percent from the field.

Mills is currently averaging 11.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game and is leading the team in assists (57) for the 2024-2025 season. He also led the team in this category in the 2023-2024 season, recording 72 assists, while playing only 54 percent of games due to injury.

Mills is in his final year at UTT and is expected to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with specialisation in Exercise Science.
