Tribute to Adrian Foster
The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) extends heartfelt condolences on the passing of Adrian Foster, an exceptional fashion designer whose creativity, discipline, and vision significantly enriched the fashion landscape of Trinidad and Tobago.
Adrian was a graduate of UTT's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design at the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design (CAFD), in 2013. He dedicated much of his time to mentoring emerging creatives in the field. His generosity of spirit, willingness to share knowledge, and commitment to excellence made him not only a respected designer but also a valued guide to the next generation of talent.
Adrian distinguished himself through outstanding achievements in design excellence, industry leadership, and cultural representation. His work consistently showcased a refined understanding of craftsmanship and innovation, earning recognition within the local fashion fraternity and aboard, positioning his brand as a symbol of quality and contemporary Caribbean style. Through runway presentations, collaborative projects, and mentorship within the creative sector, he demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing Trinidad and Tobago's fashion industry. Adrian also represented Trinidad and Tobago and UTT on the international stage at the 2015 International Fashion Showcase hosted by the British Council during London Fashion Week.
We honour his remarkable contributions and the indelible mark he leaves on the industry. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and the wider creative community during this time of loss.
