Dr Ruby S. Alleyne, Vice President of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness
The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) proudly celebrates the selection of Dr Ruby S. Alleyne, Vice President of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness, to deliver the Keynote Address at the 21st Annual Caribbean Area Network for Quality Assurance in Tertiary Education (CANQATE) Conference, to be held in Belize City, Belize, from November 12-13, 2025.
This distinguished recognition represents a significant honour for both Dr Alleyne and UTT, acknowledging her leadership and the University's growing reputation as a regional trailblazer in higher education quality assurance. The CANQATE Conference, one of the Caribbean's most respected forums for quality advancement in tertiary education, attracts policymakers, academics and industry leaders from across the region and beyond.
The 2025 conference, themed "Next-Gen QA: Metrics that Matter," will explore data-driven approaches to assessing and improving educational outcomes in a rapidly evolving global context. Dr Alleyne's keynote address will contribute to these discussions by bringing insight from UTT's experience in embedding quality and institutional effectiveness at every level of the university system.
In congratulating Dr Alleyne, Professor Rean Maharaj, Acting President of UTT remarked:
