The Incubator Projects Unit would like to introduce Ms Denyse Montrose. She is a current student of Marine Sciences, third place winner in the Ideas Competition 2025 and participant in the uStart Programme.
Ms Montrose is the founder of the Haloes Foundation, a charitable organisation that connects communities with the ocean through outdoor sports, hands-on STEM learning and marine habitat restoration projects. It inspires environmental stewardship by engaging students and adults in innovative, project-based experiences, whilst raising funds through their Sport 4 Purpose events.
The Foundation's members are seeking to collaborate with sponsors, educators and caterers to offer unique and engaging experiences. Their flagship, Tees and Tapas event will offer entrepreneurs an opportunity to display and sell their products to an engaged crowd. Proceeds from the Tees and Tapas Inaugural Offshore Golf Event will be donated to the National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago. This donation will support the continued repairs of marine infrastructure and would also benefit the Marine Sciences Internship Programme.
The invitation to the Tees and Tapas event is extended to the student body, the alumni and staff for participation and/or attendance. This event will be held Saturday 8th November, 2025 at the Nelson Island, Carenage.
There are no pop-up fees required. See the attached advertisement.
