| The 50th Caribbean Senior Championships were held at the UTECH Gymnasium from Monday 15 December - Friday 19th December 2008. |
| The National Table Tennis team comprised of 2 foreign based players: Dexter St. Louis and Rheann Chung, 3 UTT players: Astra Edwards, Curtis Hunphreys and Kris Frank, 2 Junior Players: Ashley Quashie and Caterine Spicer, National female coach Aleena Edwards (UTT) and Male coach Ramon Ortega from Spain participated. |
The team competed in the Men and Women team events, Women Doubles, Male Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men and Women Singles. The results are as follows: |
| Women team - Rheann Chung and Astra Edwards( UTT), Ashley Quashie and Caterine Spicer - 1st place |
| Women Doubles - Rheann Chung and Astra Edwards( UTT) - 1st place |

| UTT Table Tennis Coach and National Female Coach Aleena Edwards offered congratulations to the Trinidad and Tobago team and especially to the UTT players who really represented their country and raised the University’s flag high on the Jamaican soil. |
