"I started UTT in 2007 at the O'Meara Campus for my first year. After being exposed to the wide range of engineering disciplines in the year 1 courses, I decided to pursue the Master of Engineering (M.Eng) in Petroleum Engineering. My experience at UTT was nothing short of excellent. I played cricket for UTT, being coached and mentored by world class former international cricketers, all while completing my degree. About one (1) month after completing my final exam in April 2011, I was offered a job at Baker Hughes, eight (8) months before I graduated. I have been employed with them since then and my journey has been incredible. Now I have the ability to help my family and loved ones and I get to see parts of the world I didn't even know about. I give major thanks to UTT for my blessings." - Viveka Sawh
"After completing my undergraduate degree in Physics at The University of the West Indies (UWI), I had to make a decision whether to continue with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Petroleum Engineering at UWI or take up a new challenge at The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). I consulted with top professionals at major energy companies in Trinidad, comparing syllabuses and listening to their experiences with recent graduates from both institutions. With that knowledge, I made the decision to pursue the M.Sc. at UTT. To this day, this has been one of the best decisions I've made in my adult life. Lectures were informative, interactive, focused and challenging; giving me the tools I needed to compete in the highly competitive petroleum industry. Not long after graduating I was hired by Baker Hughes Incorporated, where I continue building on my career as a Field Service Engineer." - Kwame Alexander
"In 2005, I started the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Petroleum Engineering programme at UTT. In 2009, I was a part of the first graduating class from this programme. I then pursued the Master of Science (M.Sc.) Reservoir Engineering at UTT. Since then, I have been employed as a Reservoir Engineer by Petrotrin for over four (4) years. Both programmes equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills required for the work environment" - Narda Ramkissoon
